Yeah, I read the Atlantic. It’s like the New Yorker without as much of the air of superiority. Still pretentious, but bearably so. It’s one of the few “intellectual” magazines that I can stand to read on a semi-regular basis. But before I start talking about this article, I just want to say a little [...]

It’s time for another installment of “I Hate Peter Travers.” After going through The Wrestler last week. I kind of wanted to do a movie that I’d actually seen for a change. Unfortunately, I don’t get out to the movies that often, so no luck there. However, given that Peter Travers has done me the [...]

I hinted at my dislike for both Peter Travers and the concept of reviews in previous posts, but I want to expand on the former, and maybe clarify the latter. (First of all, I want to say that I don’t really hate Peter Travers the man. He’s probably an okay guy in person, and I’m [...]

That said, I have some more fan-oriented thoughts to share. My parents met at the University of Florida. They [...]

I’m usually pretty mixed in my opinion of Rolling Stone. I’m not a fan of music magazines in general, so that’s a strike against it right off the bat, but there are usually enough good features or interesting interviews to get me to read it on a semi-regular basis. My favorite thing they’ve got going [...]

There are a couple of magazines that I try to read every month, chief among those being Esquire and GQ. I should point out that reading these magazines has done next to nothing to improve my sense of fashion, but they do have, to me at least, some of the best writing of the major [...]
