My name is Jonathan Seitz. I’m a writer and freelance journalist living in Somerville, Massachusetts. I graduated from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, and I’m primarily working for Nieman Reports, the quarterly publication of the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University. This website is a professional portfolio of sorts, but it also exists because I believe that the best way to write is to just write, and I needed my own space for everything that nobody else would want to publish.
There’s no set theme for the blog portion of this site. I really have no idea what I’m going to end up publishing here, but I expect that a lot of it will just be the things I’m dealing with in my everyday life. So there will probably be posts about writing, books and assorted journalism, heavy metal, guitars, movies, sports and continued failures at fantasy football, and whatever else I can come up with.
